A life-size seated portrait developed for a contemporary religious setting.

The commission began with a limited photographic archive. Gesture, robe construction and facial expression were developed together so the finished figure would feel composed from every viewing angle.

Overview

Developed in close consultation with representatives, this seated portrait brings presence and continuity to a place of practice and reflection. Every detail, from the set of the eyes to the weight of the hands and the fall of the robes, is refined to honour the individual and their role.

Each figure is modelled, finished and painted by hand in layers to achieve realistic skin tone and texture.

Materials & Craft

Shaped by Hand.

The portrait was developed through layered sculpting, surface finishing and careful colour work. Facial structure, skin tone, hair, robes and seated posture were refined together to preserve a calm and recognisable presence.

Mixed-media construction allows the figure to combine structural stability with carefully finished wax surfaces, individually applied hair and custom-made garments.

Delivery & Installation

Delivered with Care.

Each completed figure is prepared for secure transport according to its scale, posture and display requirements. Packaging, delivery access and installation are considered in advance so the work can arrive safely and be positioned with confidence.

International delivery and on-site installation can be discussed as part of the commission. Final arrangements depend on destination, access, base construction and the conditions of the display space.
